This project looked straight forward on paper but the actual production proved quite tricky. I wanted a way to create my business cards in a fast and pro-active way. By getting a rubber stamp made I cut out the hassle of getting business cards printed and ever running out at the worst possible moment.
The tricky element was the actual design, specifically the layout and the typography. I wanted a ultra minimal look but still give impression of high quality design. I had already developed my logo into a roundal form, which gave more of an idea of a crest or seal of approval. However the typeface I had chosen, Garamond, was too light of a face for the rubber stamp to pick out. I modified the weight and size so the detail of the characters could be picked out easier.
To add the finishing touch I used a dark brown card and gold ink to stamp out my cards. This furthered my direction of creating a high quality and almost classical look and feel to my business cards.
